One-of-a-Kind Sitting Room & Foyer Design in the Chicago Suburbs
This sitting room and foyer design project was created for a busy professional couple who wanted a beautifully designed home without the time commitment of shopping, planning, or managing the process themselves. Drawn to my signature style and attention to detail, they entrusted me to bring their vision to life—quickly, seamlessly, and thoughtfully.
The 3-Phase Interior Design Process
I used my detailed three-phase design process—Design Plan, Procurement & Build, and Completion—to guide their project smoothly from concept to final install, with regular check-ins and open communication throughout.
One of the key challenges was thoughtfully integrating their recently purchased swivel chairs and a freshly painted console into the new design. With careful planning and creative problem-solving, I ensured these existing pieces felt intentional and beautifully cohesive within the refreshed space.
Sitting Room & Foyer Design
The final design transformed their sitting room and foyer into a warm, sophisticated, and beautifully layered space that felt both inviting and elevated. While she was out for the day, I created her own HGTV-style reveal moment, unveiling the completed rooms in a true “big reveal” experience.
My favorite part was seeing her shed tears of joy—an incredibly special moment that left me grateful for such a wonderful experience and a project we were all proud of.
Through My Clients’ Eyes
My clients were absolutely elated once their project was complete, especially as the final result far exceeded anything they had imagined. She was so surprised and overwhelmed with joy that she shed tears the moment she saw the space. Having struggled to fully envision the final reveal, she told me it was even better than she could have dreamed.
Thank you for joining me in this beautiful project transformation and sharing in the joy of creating a home that truly reflects my clients’ lives. If you’re ready for thoughtful, seamless design support in your own space, I’d love to help bring your own vision to life.
Warmly,
Michelle
